Research for Japan's Judicial Review
Information about Supreme Court justices
What is Japan's Judicial Review?
Japan's National Review of Supreme Court Justices (Kokumin Shinsa) is held simultaneously with the House of Representatives general election. Justices are reviewed in the first general election after their appointment, and every 10 years thereafter.
Voters mark "×" to vote for dismissal; leaving it blank counts as approval.
